Jiro is a workbench for the home. Designed and built with longevity in mind, the nature of Jiro’s fabrication and materials allow for prolonged use and love. By working with the natural qualities of wood, the desk utilizes joinery techniques that will stay solid through countless days of use. Consisting of only six bolts and four major components the entire piece can be taken apart and flat packed for easy transportation and storage.

Jiro Desk features a large storage compartment mounted flush within the table top surface that is covered by three reversible tray lids. One side of the tray features a naturally dyed, veg-tanned leather and the other, a solid wood surface that matches the surrounding top. The trays are fully removable and can be used as functional objects on the table top. Over time the leather will act as a storyboard to the life of the desk and display the markings and impressions created by the user.
